But Season 3 has the best episodes, IMHO and you don't really need the backstory to enjoy the later episodes - it's not like they build a broader story arc.

I doubt anything will come of this. Honestly, I don't think Universal will feel it's worth the investment. They may have said something to appease fans ("of course we'll fix it") but soon after they released season four with a few of the same problems. Most of them aren't *too distracting ...
