I'm with you, it's probably not SPM in itself, but all the (un-aerodynamic) crap popping out of KITT that I find so annoying.

Re: Knight Rider season 5

If they ever made season 5, I would have hoped they'd go back to what worked in the first three seasons: 1. More emphasis on KITT, less on Michael 2. Episote finales with wide eyed villans panicking as the unstoppable black car just keeps coming at them 3. Occasional episote where KITT gets seriousl...

Re: At least fix 2 things (I waited 26 years for this?? part 2)

He lacks the persona and assertiveness which would elevate him to a more memorable individual. I never got that sense. Time and time again in the episode he showed that he was a guy who could think on his feet. He deployed KITT to get Sarah while he sought out Jenny. He took the initiative to not o...

Re: At least fix 2 things (I waited 26 years for this?? part 2)

I was also using Goliath as an example of an episode that was very good, and I'm willing to accept that this was a mistake. I'm digressing here, but despite it's flaws, I loved the Goliath episode. It falls into what I call "the wounded beast" category of episodes, where KITT gets hurt an...

Re: At least fix 2 things (I waited 26 years for this?? part 2)

I may go so far as to say Charles Graiman is the best-written character in the new show. Part of that is probably because Bruce Davison is the best actor of the bunch, so his aura sort of elevates the writing a bit. He evokes the presence of Devon, but without ever bringing the feeling that he's ac...

Re: At least fix 2 things (I waited 26 years for this?? part 2)

First, KITT did ultimately save the day. He was brought back online, and with the quick thinking of Mike, they stopped the bad guys (who did have a dumbfounded look on their faces as KITT began to pull in front of them). It was a demonstration of how a combination of Mike and KITT could stop the ba...

At least fix 2 things (I waited 26 years for this?? part 2)

It took some time, but I was finally able to put my finger on what was really missing from the movie. In the long run, I can probably see past the retro-looking KITT, the plot holes, the “alternative” references, whatever (although Steve Martin’s “The Cruel Shoes” bit is now coming to mind), but the...

Re: Threesome and Lesbian Scene Trash

The argument above is flawed for one simple reason: homosexuals (for the most part, like straight people) choose their partners and form loving relationships. Goldbug, I assume you're basing the above statement on personal opinions, not facts. A quick Google search on homosexual statistics will rev...

that's propably what a lot of people thought 26 years ago: Not me man, I remember sitting there watching the pilot as a 11-year old, and between Devon unveiling KITT to Michael and KITT blasting through the bad guys, my jaw became permenantely attached to the floor and my eyes were so wide open tha...

Wow the world is full of ignorant people. 89 it seems like you don't want to enjoy entertainment but condemn the work of others. If you watched the full four seasons of Knight Rider which I have like a million times on DVD you would see that many of the story lines didn't make sense as far as being...

3) KITT himself makes a "command decision" early on when Sarah insists on going to find her father but KITT basically says "And what are YOU going to do?" He knew they needed help and didn't just cave in to Sarah's emotional reaction. Okay the new KITT made one good decision. Bu...

Re: I waited 26 years for this????

PLUS, Michael is a complete whack out job compared to dad. For a former Navy seal(or whatever special unit it was), he humiliates it with that hairdo and awful apartment. Wakes up with women in bed, gambler, and very suprised they didn't have him wearing earrings too. Uh, that's the idea. Hello! Th...

Re: I waited 26 years for this????

1. The entire plot logic is faulted from the start: If Charles Graiman had a supercar in his garage why would he opt to take off running through the woods. Weak complaint. His car escaped and his body double was killed. After being in seclusion for 25 years and trying to maintain the illusion of be...

Re: I waited 26 years for this????

1. The entire plot logic is faulted from the start: If Charles Graiman had a supercar in his garage why would he opt to take off running through the woods. Graiman and KITT were two parts of a complete, potential weapon system. If they captured KITT AND Graiman, the bad guys would have everything t...

Re: My Review: New Knight Rider!!!!!!

I dunno, that SUV may have been the actual super-car star of the show, how else do you explain the fact that after smashing it into an immovable object at a high speed, only the bad guys get seriously hurt or killed, and the feeble old guy is able to practically limp away with only a few scratches.

Re: My Review: New Knight Rider!!!!!!

Quite Hating So Much. You have to admit. This at least has been the best Interpritaion so far since the original went off the air. :kitt: Best interpretation? The plot logic is entirely faulty. Graiman has this "super car" in his garage, yet he takes off on foot through the forest. Okay, ...

I waited 26 years for this????

Wow..... I guess the only positive thing I can about the movie is that my wife, who loves "chick-flicks", seemed to like it. I don't even know where to start with the shortcoming, but here's what I hated about the movie: 1. The entire plot logic is faulted from the start: If Charles Graima...

Interesting... But if you think about it, the producers might go with a different car all together because they would need to bring in new fans for the show. When the Fast and the Furious (I can't spell) came out, people had to go buy one of the many types of cars that they showed in the movie. But...

For the record, I don't believe that a 4 cylinder tuner will ever even be considered for the role. However, unless they set the movie back in the 80's, an early 3rd gen. T/A will not work. In a sepatrate thread, CB2001 just wrote a very elaborate explanation of why it would not work, with which I ag...

KITT as a rice burner? I would boycott the movie just for that! Knight Rider should not be mixed with the Fast and the Furious. Though it might sell, and I mean might , for me it would ruin the image of KITT. If no one can really agree with a new body, just keep his original 3rd Gen. Or if they can...

It appears that the majority of our votes are split between high-end sport cars and old TransAms. Given the number of cars that are likely to be destroyed during filming, this will either be a huge budget production or e-bay will get picked clean of 82 T/A's.

I was only a kid in the early 80's, but my older brother bought a brand new T/A in 1984. At that time, he was only a high-school student with a part time job. I therefore don't think T/A's were THAT far out of reach....although back then, he did beat enough lunch money out of me to at least partiall...
