Re: confusing moment Knight of the Phoenix

Here's my take: The writing of the pilot sets up the "in a world of criminals who operate above the law" premise of the whole series, and uses dramatic license re actual legalities to do it. The 'court ordered release' is a fake-out. The crims just need to get rid of Michael before blowing...

Re: Rank the Seasons

Hmm, Scent of Roses is definitely a 'low' of S4 for me, I'd have to go with Knight Of The Juggernaut as its highpoint - as much as I hate Stupid Pursuit Mode! It's probably the season I've seen least since it originally aired, but I do remember the ep Sky Night as being a good stab at doing somethin...

Re: Knight Rider broadcast restoration

That KOTJ VHS was from the late 80s, not sure of the soundtrack but I'm nearly sure even my 80s shop bought VHS of the pilot ep had 'hi-fi stereo' sound marked on the sleeve despite being originally broadcast in glorious mono!

Re: KNIGHT RIDER ON TV

Tonight's episode was supposed to have been A Plush Ride - instead, they showed The Scent of Roses. Bit jarring to suddenly be thrust into series 4 in the midst of the first series! It reminded me how weird the writing for that ep is, especially for what was intended as a series finale - Michael's a...

The amazing story of Pontiac and Knight Rider

Apologies if this has been posted before, but today I stumbled upon one of the best articles I've ever read on how the Pontiac / Knight Rider hook-up actually happened back when Glen A Larson (RIP) created the series. If you have a serious Pilot / Pilot car fetish like myself, you have GOT to read t...

Re: New Commercial Featuring David and KITT

That was great - although I would have had DH ejecting the 'newer model' into the swimming pool via the ComLink. Could then have had a quick bit of Baywatch cross-over there as he stripped down to his red shorts to dive in and rescue him. Here's another new KR-related ad I saw on YouTube today, it's...

That Corvette is the tits! You could even make the whole upper part of the grille into a mega-sized scanner (not sure about putting it high up on the hood as some have already tried to do).

Amazing - well done Gav, I cannot believe it still looks exactly the same! KITT's escape from the garage was definitely filmed on the Universal lot, he's "busting out" of one of the big sound stages - you can find it easily enough using Google Earth (think it's been posted on another...

Metallic light blue is another personal favourite - and, of course, "basic black".

Re: Finally Available-An Affordable Comlink Watch

Those look amazing! I can't really justify spending $50 plus postage to the UK (I don't even wear a watch normally!) but it brings back fond memories of the Martin House made replica watch I had as a child - the one that played the melody from the Knight Rider theme when you pushed in the two right ...

Re: 1983 Trans-Am Recaro Special Edition KNIGHT RIDER PROJECT

That is a great looking car which deserves to be restored to its original glory. Less is more when it comes to the 3rd Gen TA, and the lack of aero spoilers stupid ground effects on the 82/83s makes them the pick of the bunch for me. The early Recaro models offered a little bit extra in the looks/co...

Actually, ignore the above (i'd delete it if it were allowed!) - the second pic there is supposed to be the entrance to the actual location used for the Comtron building. Can't say I've been able to find anything that looks familiar on Google Earth though!

Re: Locations ?

For us slower people (me)...can you point an arrow to the Comtron building? I'm just not seeing it... Joe As far as I understand it, there is no Comtron "building" as such in the shot 1982 is referencing - in the Pilot universe, Comtron was supposed to be located across the street from Th...

Boy, there's a NUMBER of buildings on that street that look like they could be Comtron! Time to get out the screengrabs and compare.... Thanks Sue! Re: Deanna Russo Confirms Knight Rider death

Regarding season 4 of TOS, Stupid Pursuit Mode put me off the first time round and I never bothered getting the DVDs when they came out, despite the fact Knight of The Juggernaut is one of my fave episodes - I actually still have it on VHS taped from the TV from when it originally aired. However, I ...

Does anyone know for certain why the car can't have a KNIGHT plate all the time?

My problem with the show isn't that it's not a recreation. I work in comics and legacy characters and next gen stuff happens sometimes, so I know things hafta go with the times and what not. My problem with the show is that in "keeping with the times" the writing is sophomoric relying ent...

Re: News: Hasselhoff to return as series regular!?

Edward Mulhare wasn't British, he was born in Cork.

The character Devon was English though, his original surname in the pilot script being "Shire" - something that would have provided a few chuckles for viewers on the colder, wetter side of the Atlantic. Glad they went with Miles!
