now if they would only make the semi and 2008-09 ki3t Although not official Knight Rider, they've made the 2008 Shelby GT500KR in both 1:64 and 1:18 scale. Just missing the scanner on the exterior :P http://knightrideronline.com/forum/download/file.php?id=1062&sid=16ebc6ee1f9a069cad8360f379f4b9...

Re: Sneak Peek of New Hot Wheels 1/18 KITT!!
It looks like the tires have been reprofiled as promised. I can't tell if the nose is different, though.
Nice to see the cargo cover.
I was hoping that the black paint on the hatch would be gone as well as the box under the nose, though.
I'll be getting this for sure.

Re: Does anyone own a Shelby Collectable GT500KR die cast ca
I have it. It is pretty good for the price point. If you want a high quality and highly detailed model, though, you won't get it. I have taken a black Autoart 2007 Shelby and converted it to KITT using the rims from the Shelby Collectibles and the hood (Fits perfectly, surprisingly enough). The inte...

Re: Hot wheels elite KITT/KARR voicebox
Why does it have to be sequential? We understand that there just isn't an LED that small that can replicate the sequential effect. A single LED I think is quite adequate for this scale. A photoetch plate with the cutout pattern and a single LED would be just fine. What I would love to see 4 things o...

Re: Sneak Peek of New Hot Wheels 1/18 KITT!!
Doors would be much more difficult to open if it has a window in closed position. Also, thick clear plastic window might distort the view to the interior and of course we like to look KITT's wonderful dash very often All of Autoart's 1 18 models have closed windows on the doors. They look just fine...

Re: Modding the Hotwheels 1:18 KITT
I used my finger nail and a credit card to scrape off the paint without damaging the plastic. The rear glass on the Firebird does not have a metal frame, just a thin band of blackout paint along the inside edges of the glass. Along the top, the band is thick and fades into the glass. Defrost lines a...

Re: Modding the Hotwheels 1:18 KITT
Good work! I have also thought about removing the black frame of the trunk hatch and to slim the metal frame. You say it won't be possible to seperate the plastic from the frame - can you post any picture to show how both are fixed together? Do you have any positive effect on the new scanner positi...

Re: Modding the Hotwheels 1:18 KITT
Here's a shot of the underside. You can see where the box was trimmed away and the circuit board inside. I also removed the black paint on the rear glass. To do it properly, the glass would have to be painted flat black on the underside of the glass. Taking the clear plastic would likely wreck the p...

Re: Modding the Hotwheels 1:18 KITT
I have cut out the 'box' under the nose. The circuit board fits just fine. If it is angled 45 degrees, the LED lights will still line up and fit into the clear red plastic box for the scanner. I will close up the hole in the underside and paint satin black. This is alI will do for now. I will contin...

Re: Modding the Hotwheels 1:18 KITT
That member is doing a different project. Following 2 projects on the same thread woould be confusing. Ask the mods to merge it then if 2 threads of 2 people doing different things bothers you. Looking at the box under the nose, I see that I can get rid of it. The box was made to make room fo...

Modding the Hotwheels 1:18 KITT
I quite like the model Hotwheels put out, but it needs more. One of the first things that it needs is carpet. I used microfiber upholstery fabric. Works really well - way better than flocking, IMO. Here is how it looks so far. The seat rails needed to be painted black, as did some trim - nothing big...

Re: Hot Wheels Super Elite Kitt/Possible Karr
That's the point. Easy to cut a wire to make the pedal 'dead', but very difficult to make it light up. Agrument would be moot if Tuske goes with making it a later car. Do you know if the side panels in the hatch were carpeted in the show car, by the way? I'll be adding carpet, but I don't know if th...

Re: Hot Wheels Super Elite Kitt/Possible Karr
Please keep the LED on the pedal! It looks good, although too bright. Perfectionists can always fix that anyway. Keep it! no way!!! We want the car to be a screen accurate season one car Wouldn't you rather have it and just disconnect it, rather than not have it and then have to make it yourself if...

Tuske427, Please keep the LED on the pedal! It looks good, although too bright. Perfectionists can always fix that anyway. Keep it! And I too would rather see a photoetched piece with the cutouts for the 3 lines to mimic the voicebox in later seasons. So what if it doesn't replicate the sequential e...
