Re: My choice for Knight Rider movie director
The a-team had Steven J Canell on board that is why it felt close to the 80s show. Id like to see a dark movie and would hire Tim Burton. Is Ivan Kershner still making movies? Definately not JJ Abrahams, look at the terrible star trek reboot. He made the enterprise look like an industrial gas works....

The biggest mistake on a new KR movie would be getting GST to make it

Re: New KITT???
There are some interesting challenges. I do like the Audi A9, Put it this way the Germans love the Hoffs singing so they would back this to the hilt to get a German car as the new KITT. KITT should be a unique car, not available to the mass market or to the super rich. Unlike the disastrous 2008 rem...

Re: Hoff in bid for Knight Rider rights
On Saturday 14th January 2012, on a UK TV show called the Magicians, where the Hoff appeared as a contestant. He says at the end of the show, before the samurai dude cuts the water melon on his chest, "no, I am trying to bring back Knight Rider". Now I suspect there is more truth in this o...

Re: This is how KITT should look like
A new dash should look like a progression or evolution from the original season 4 dash. Similar with its origin visible but modern and slick. Where the remake went wrong was there were no buttons and screens. That was the appeal of the 80s. Anyone who buys a car, gets in and looks over the dash at t...

G Larson question
Has anyone managed to ask Mr Larson what he thought of KR08?
Has he ever seen the posts on this site and does he know the feeling of KR fans regarding a possible remake and the general feelings of the 08 show?
Can anyone track him down and point him in the direction of this site?

Re: what wouldve kept 2008 series for further seasons.
Sometimes if you have been given a gift of an already well established show, with the ground rules already set and a hard core following, then why change the formula? Sure update it with the times, but keep the forumla the same. One man and his car to champion the cause of the helpless, the innocent...

Re: Killer KITT queries
Why did KITT turn bad even from one PCB replacement? Hand't the preservation of life been hard coded in to KITTs dominant programm? Surely that is the difference between KITT and KARR.
I guess you could blame the fact that KITT was programmed in BASIC (gee those were the days)

Re: what wouldve kept 2008 series for further seasons.
Firstly if I was put in charge, I would sack GST for killing off a dream of a good KR remake... Thanks to that individual it is unlikely there will ever be another KR series. I would stop all the transformer rubbish. The idea of KITT is that the one car has multi role function and does not need to t...

Would not want to see. Patricia McPherson (sorry if I spelt that wrong) in a bikini Kitt to run on eco friendly fuel Any tree hugging hippy eco friendly message.. .. Kitt is kick ass and so what if he puts outa few fumes. Do not use John Barris to design cars. Sorry but I feel his SPM was total pant...

Re: Gary Scott Thompson Step Up....
Way back in the 80s .. to us young kids in the UK who had never heard of a Trans Am before Knight Rider, yes it did look exotic even sporty and yet unique. Seen with todays maturity it may in real life have its faults, but KR was not a factual show. For an hour a week you could belive that KITT was ...

Re: Gary Scott Thompson Step Up....
In my humble opinion GST SUX... GST you got greedy and turned a classic in to something it wasn't. Only when it was too late did you realise what the fans wanted and that was not what you wanted. For all those who liked the show, I sympathise with your loss. It could have been something. GST. Let me...
