Re: Your KR guilty pleasures

I really liked Mouth of the Snake and I don't really get why is is disliked by a lot of people. I thought that Charles Taylor was a great actor and David Dalton was a brilliant character. I liked how he was like Michael but more silent and mysterious. And his abilities were amazing!! By half way th...

Re: Who's "Elliot?"

It is a reference to E.T. - the original script for 'Lost Knight' was actually entitled 'K.I.T.T. Phone Home'!

Hi Clare,

There are no user accounts on the website, as there's no forum. Commenting is available in the news section, though.

Knight Rider Archives Relaunch!

Hi folks! It’s been a long, long road… but the Knight Rider Archives are finally back online. I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve been asked by fans of the series, “When is the site coming back?” Well, here it is. What began as a simple redesign became something much bigger: a huge redesign,...

That's replacement music from the Universal DVD release. The original song used in that scene was 'Little Red Corvette' by Prince.

From the caption to that photo:
Standing next to him is Natalie Carroll, billed as Pontiac's "Firebird Girl."
Natalie Carroll appeared in Knight Rider too - she played the model who poses with K.I.T.T. for Escape Magazine in The Topaz Connection.

Re: Is Final Verdict Edited On DVD?

I just checked my '80s recording, and you can just about hear Dickerson (Don Gordon) continue to speak for a second, but there is a splice and then Michael replies. In the script, Dickerson's line is: "All right, I'll be at the end of Highland Road. That's down by the docks."

That's been proved over and over with each attempt to bring the show back. The series owes a huge, huge debt to David Hasselhoff.

Paul, I greatly admire your passion for expanding coverage of a series we all adore - you made a great site and an informative one. You're a great archivist and your efforts allow fans to further delve into what made this show so great. Don't tarnish those positive aspects by demonstrating a dismis...

Re: A few questions that have bugging me.

- That is your opinion but look at your tone - you use words like "overrule", "doesn't matter" - I don't see you addressing my point about George Lucas and Star Wars which was a valid rebuttal to your original opinion. In my opinion what you said was insulting - it's insulting t...

Re: Season 4

It's interesting you bring up the Mission: Impossible feel - Bruce Lansbury was also a producer on that show. He's the real-life brother of Angela Lansbury from Murder She Wrote. I think it's ironic that the show fell into the hands of producers who worked on the various Knight Rider imitators. Lans...

Re: A few questions that have bugging me.

I agree that backstory is not revisionist history - but it is when it overrides earlier story elements, or subtly changes their meaning. I included Stevie as a good example in the sense that Glen Larson certainly didn't have it in mind when he was writing the pilot - it's documented that the idea ca...

Re: A few questions that have bugging me.

If Glen stated that in his vision of Knight Rider, Bonnie wasn't in the pilot - then she couldn't have been around when KITT was built or they would have shown her. Although he mentions that they needed a technition for the sake of the series - his comments absolutely are relevant as he created Kni...

Re: A few questions that have bugging me.

I hear what you're saying, but I'm not sure the Stevie analogy holds up. Suppose it was October 1982 and we asked "was Michael Long ever married or engaged?" We couldn't say yes or no for sure. It simply wasn't brought up. We could look at the supporting evidence and might say "well,...

Re: A few questions that have bugging me.

I can shed a bit more light about Bonnie not being in the pilot as per an interview with Glen A. Larson: McPherson was not somethi...

Re: A few questions that have bugging me.

Bonnie spent enough time working with KITT's systems that she was able to rebuild him in KotJ even if she wasn't the original designer. She clearly says that KARR was before her time, so the question is if she was brought in to create KITT. In Junk Yard Dog, Bonnie says she CAN'T rebuild KITT. Mich...

Re: Michael Knight Sr. F.L.A.G. salary pay

In 'Knight Moves' (Season 1), Devon reminds Michael that the F.L.A.G. Semi is "worth a king's ransom"... Michael replies, "Or a Knight's yearly salary." Devon agrees, "At the very least." It's fair to say that Michael was earning a decent wage for his services. Michael ...
