Re: KI3T Builders - hood choices

I guess the first question is are you trying to build a KI3T, or make your GT500 more aggressive/functional ram air. I have the Trufiber carbon fiber version with a scanner installed, and I love it. I say that now, but we'll see how much prep it will take to paint it. The pros and cons that I see ar...

Re: Knight Rider 2008: Did It Suck?

I don't think it sucked, however there was considerable room for improvement. KR2008 was the best chance to revive the franchise. I would've preferred if they would've stuck more to the format they had in the pilot movie, and I really think the show was getting much better after FLAG was reinstated ...

Re: KITT Headlight Help

86678, the square thing you're referring to on the Mustang is a light shield for the factory HID headlights. They were an option on 2008 and up.

Re: Knight Rider engine question

Looking at the turbo boost sequence, the 3000's engine looks more like an experimental rotory engine.

I was looking at it too. It's a GT dressed (incompletely) as an 07-09 Shelby Super Snake. The movie looks interesting!

Taoworm2323. He was developing computer parts for KI3T replicas, particularly voice orbs and scanners. After alot of complaints (always here to sell, but barely around to answer questions or help his customers), his German partner announced he died of a heart attack. When he came back, he said on th...

Re: Great New for KITT Mustang Replica Builders!

$565 per wheel, $1200ish for the GT500 bumper assy, $600 for the HID healights (ebay), $160 for the driving lights $2000 for the hood (carbon fiber) and I don't remember what the scanner cost. All in done in small portions since 2008. And I still have a way to go. The hood needs to be painted, still...

Re: Great New for KITT Mustang Replica Builders!

New Fifty year Alcoas are on!! 4 20x9 with 255/35R20 Firehawk Indy 500 wide oval tires. Went right down to Shelby headquarters to pick them up. I wouldn't reccommend cramming 5 20 inch wheels into a Mustang.

Re: Great New for KITT Mustang Replica Builders!

I was thinking about picking up the skullcaps from Trufiber. I have their hood in carbon fiber and it's holding up well to the Vegas sun. I just replaced my neon dash lights with LED strips and added red ones that can be switched back and forth.

Re: Alcoa Wheels Currently On Ebay

There's been conflicting info in Shelby and Alcoa about bringing them back. After seeing the crap wheels on the 2013 Super Snake, I'm not holding my breath. On the plus side, I just picked up OEM HID headlights. Just waiting on the harness to install them. Next- probably the rear bumper, or a paintj...

Re: Alcoa Wheels Currently On Ebay

Yeah, I've been watching almost every set on ebay for the past few months, and they've all gone for around $4500. It's insane, and frustrating! That's the big piece of my KARR that I need (other than the rear bumper and stripes), but I'm not paying THAT much for a used set of wheels that were half t...

I won't be making it. My car's not close to complete, especially with Shelby discontinuing the wheels, and I'm on a business trip in New Mexico.
