I'm wondering if you linked to an upcoming page that they for some reason had posted temporarily. As I look at your screen shot there appear to be more TV shows than currently listed on NBC's website, like Charles in Charge and Magnu P.I.

I'll wait for the NBC's word, but this doesn't look good. There is the possibility that Knight Rider will be a midseason replacement or return in the summer of 2010 if it does well in other countries, but again, this is a bad sign.

Wow. I figured if anything "The Chopping Block" would have more viewers initially and then taper off. I can't believe Deal or No Deal was that low in the ratings. Now I see why NBC wanted to try and replace it.

Actually, someone asked another question online about Knight Rider being canceled and I included a link to the petition. I just did that yesterday so it's not like it's going to make a huge difference.

From day one of the season I thought KI3T's onscreen display was very distracting. I would think Mike could get a headache because of it.

Don't forget advertising. NBC really did quite a bit of advertising for the pilot movie. Just one commercial that they advertised over and over again.

The chess piece worked better, because it was a "knight." I'm torn to. The eagle symbolizes patriotism in the US, but the chess piece was really cool in itself. Plus, I don't think it was used for anything else. By the way, when was FFLAG symbolized by a snake? Was that on Team Knight Rider?
