As I read the announcment and that there is still hope for saving knight rider, I thought, if the rest of these community and the worldwide fanbase are with me, when I´m planning to start a webpage to save knight rider, but I would need some help but we have time until 18th may, so we could do that....

according to the statement that RTL germany is airing the new Knight Rider from 12th september, there´s also written, that it is canceled after 17 episodes.
So nobody knows, if these info comes from nbc and was gone public through RTL´s statement. I hope not!
