Season 3-4 Dash Design...

So I know Michael Sheffe designed / built the original 1-2 season dash...

Did he have any input into the 3-4th season?
If not, who did?

The Blackest black paint !?!?!?

Ok... I found a "blacker" black :) It makes the car look 2 dimensional, like a cartoon almost... would like to see it out on the street vs a studio.. Though I would like to see it on a Kitt replica, I do not think I would paint mine with it... but curious to see... Scroll down and look / r...

Re: Is KITT hard to drive?

With practice, it gets easier... I'm 6 foot 2 inches, and though I have purchased the rear extend brackets from Billy, I've not put them on yet... The wheel itself, is fine, being slim and shorter helps... for turning, I can cup one of the handles and turn it with one hand easily, again, practice......

Re: Knight Rider on Blu Ray Review Thread

It is much clearer than DVD (technically, 2.5 or so times the resolution, from 400+ to 1080)... The detail is really apparent with outside scenes, as opposed to darker, more dimly lit scenes (thought I'm watching it on a 149" screen / projector).... I watched all of Knight of the Phoenix last F...

Re: 1982 Pontiac Trans-Am 1/16 modelkit

Hmmmm... The "drawing" leaves a bit to be desired... The wheels ??? the budge on the hood looks like it's too much in the middle, should bigger and over to the driver's side more... The space for the front tun signal looks a bit too large... I hope that's just a representation and they do ...

Re: Little insight with KITT's parts?

Yup, and with the "stock" dash, it gives you time to practice...
An alignment and possibly some new parts help, so that it's straight and true...
Nothing sucks more than having the handles turned to 11 and 5 (on a clock face) when going straight...

Re: Little insight with KITT's parts?

The wheel is very comfortable going straight... it gets close to parts when you turn. Being my car is a 5 speed, I've learned to cup one of the grips and turn it with 1 hand... it takes practice... the switch pods are more likely to cause more trouble with your knees than the wheel... it is wide, bu...

Re: Regular Car Review of KITT Replica

Yeah, I'm 6 foot 2... 2 inches shorter than the hoff... I did upgrade the bottom seat frame, so it has a manual recline (the whole seat bottom) which helps... And I bought a set of Billy Gunter's "seat distance lengthen-er", but not installed yet... They move the seat back to 2 other optio...

Re: Regular Car Review of KITT Replica

I thought the review was hilarious! I have a 91 Formula that I used as a replica... bought it with 150k miles... spent A LOT of $$$ upgrading / replacing suspension and things, it rides night and day difference now... Yes, it takes time / practice to get good with the gull wing... To add to the &quo...

Re: Knight Rider coming to Blu Ray!

Technical question...
The highest resolution a DVD can support is 720 x 480 pixels. And not sure the DVD set is even that.
What was KR recorded on, and the resolution of that format?

I think $99 for a BluRay HD copy is a great price for all 4 seasons...

Re: Here's some KR forward thinking that we all overlook.

Don't remember exactly which OS asked that, but I may have been a combination of mother boards / power supplies that could do that, so if detected, then it would shut itself off, or do it itself... Laser disc, yikes... I loved those :) Commodore Amiga, anyone ? I started with TRS-80's and a cassette...

Maybe most here remember "It's now safe to turn off your computer" screens... But I bet a lot of the public doesn't (or never seen it)... wow I'm getting old :)
