Re: Super Pursuit Mode

Well, according to that article:
with the front end getting very light at 290
...they had some issues.
The changes they did make (which weren't insignificant) included lowering the car, something which didn't seem like an option on our favourite.

Re: Super Pursuit Mode

Some parts of SPM actually make aerodynamic sense - raising the top blade of the nose would be useful if you could adjust its position. The bottom spoiler at the rear was also a good call. Fact is, the regular KITT shape wouldn't have worked mighty well at SPM speeds. It may not have been perfectly ...

Re: Was turbo boost originally like super persuit mode?

Well, considering material like the KITT Kit and whatnot, Turbo Boost actually fired rockets on the underside of the car. We can say the Knight 2000 electronics would simply adjust their position not to propel the car up but simply forwards. But that's a retcon-ish view. I suppose the writers origin...

Interesting outlook... nice to see once again how well the show predicted certain things.

Though it would also be nice to see someone mention there being more and more turbine/electric hybrids like our beloved Knight 2000. ;)

Re: 1819.11

Third image seems to have "(T/G/C)H 1" written on the bottom. It is also missing an overlayed light streak. And yeah, that is a Camaro. If the new KITT is one, tears will flow... that is a horrendously ugly car, and unbelievably un-sleek (even if you modify the nose... the rest of the body...

Las Vegas? 18th and 19th - filming dates for Knight of the Phoenix. 11 - for November?
I guess the new avatar is also a hint.

The corporate incompetence Mr. Larson has had to deal with and is dealing with is really hard to excuse. I admire him for his perseverance and dedication.

Re: "KITT" at the New York Auto Show

This is so horrible that I cannot find the words to describe it. Just terrible... but this isn't the first time this vehicle, with the Barris badge, has been spotted. I vaguely remember this terrible abomination being shown somewhere else a couple of years ago. Pretty sure it was one these boards; i...

Knight 2000 Propulsion - in 1985

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YRfFg5UdBp8 The Toyota GTV concept from 1985. Jump to 4:00 for some KITT take-off action. When that concept was built, all factors were in favour of gas turbines in comparison to internal combustion engines. Chrysler had their fair share of work on such cars, but they...

Re: Junkyard Dog question

1. There was definitely a backup of KITT's information... plus the databanks Bonnie mentions are the ones that hold information relevant to the case at hand. The fact that they were left means that they were protected, in a MBS case or such. 2. KITT was afraid for himself, as far as I am concerned, ...

Wow, some people... Keep your eyes wide open, Nick - looks like people are trying to make a profit on your art.

But what kind of profit? They're losing money, unless there's some detail that you and us are missing.

Knight Rider - Shadowy Flight
Best title possible...

I don't mind a big download, actually. Sound tracks have to take their space.

Do you want to reveal anything about the music aspect? :D

Please be reminded that the battle scene was supposed to be substantially longer, and the conversation between KITT and KARR was supposed to make good sense in character terms. But NBC cut it. Don't blame the wrong people.

The Knight logo was tied to the Knight Foundation and Knight Industries. FLAG didn't really posses a logo - even the plaque in front of the HQ was just lettering.

Did anyone notice how the orchardy-place Mike fights Victor the first time looks a lot like the one Devon was running through after escaping prison?
Also, getting Mike drunk and running him off a cliff, remind anyone of a certain group of faux bodyguard drivers and a use of retro-rockets?

Re: Live Discussion - Knight and the City

Fun episode, the Turbo Boost ended up much cooler than many people presumed it to be. I may be unique, but I find the Zoe-Billy banter quite enjoyable - I like their character dynamic and like how it supports the story. Nick, if you're going to go all drama and 'leave the building', stay out. And do...
