Re: Airwolf and Street Hawk, revisited

I haven't watched Streethawk in awhile but here's my two cents anyway. I don't really remember whether it came after Knight Rider or during it, but it was such an obvious copy. First we had a supercar, now a superbike. Both Jesse and Michael were former cops - though as I recall Jesse was one still....

Tire-size for 15" Turbocast wheels?

Not sure if this is the correct place to post it but as it borders replica-building so it's kind of 'creative', yes? Anyway, I just bought a set of 15" Turbocast wheels for my Trans Am and I was wondering what profile tires to wrap around them. What was the original tiresize for 82-83 Trans Am ...

Re: Season 4

I watched some season 4 episodes and I have to admit I do dislike the convertible mode. I for one like the Trans Am as T-Top or even hardtop better. The panoramic rear glass-hatch and sail B-pillars that convertible lacks are just so....well they belong in the car. Anyway, I always loved the driving...

Re: Season 4

Oh yeah, I have heard that they didn't apply the MBS untill later but it had slipped my mind. Well that gives some consolation and KITT didn't need to be rebuilt entirely, only repaired. But ghetto-crew adding new features to KITT - convertible and SPM- is too much (even with Bonnie's supervision).....

Re: Season 4

I didn't like much about the convertible mode since it could've been achieved to some extent with T-Tops or as Michael called it "sunroof". But as mentioned, it was't used during action scenes so it didn't bother me that much. SPM didn't bother me that much either but I disliked some scene...

Re: my hitari rc KITT

Got my RC KITT awhile back. Awesome toy ! Oh, and I got also another RC-car - a Shelby Mustang 500 GT Super Snake  http://jdwc.kuvat.fi/kuvat/Home/Kes%C3%A4%202010/puku_%20110%20(Small).jpg/_smaller.jpg During the winter I plan to paint the Mustang and you never guess what color :) Yeah, will ...

Re: Was KITT ever in pursuit on cobblestone-streets?

It sounds like you need new shocks and suspension kit, after 20 years the shocks on these cars do have a tendancy to "give"! Shocks are kinda new (installed in 2007) and also front suspension was renewed that in 2007. Rear suspension I don't know, but I doubt it's all original. The...

Re: Some new pics of my KITT replica

Looking at the first pic makes me wanna have my Trans Am painted. The paint on my car has faded and is scratchy. And those plastic interior trims, they look like new (I especially noticed the trunk trims, since mine are faded as well and are abit awfull fit)! The whole car looks like new ! Did you r...

Was KITT ever in pursuit on cobblestone-streets?

The other day I once again cruised via Helsinki centre in my 3rd gen Trans Am and near the South Harbor (Esplanadi) there's quite many cobblestone-streets - and cruising on cobblestone is so horror with a Trans Am, the suspension doesn't give any relief, the car is shaking and rattling and the plast...

My girlfriend won't let me play with it indoors :D Says that it'll scrape the hard wood floors.

Saw your video on Youtube about wiring the LEDs. Good stuff :good:

Have to go get a solder gun and solder. Man, haven't done that since middle school. Maybe I should buy two KITTs just in case....lol

Re: my hitari rc KITT

I'm considering about bying a RC car like this. What material are the tires, rubber or plastic - in other words, can the car be driven outdoors (on asphalt) or is it suitable only for indoor use? I don't have so big of an apartment so potentially the walls could come in real fast, and the not so aes...

Re: HighSpeedMag photo shoot with KITT

Wasn't Michael Knight a ladies man? Was there many episodes where Michael didn't kiss a woman, or there were innuendos that he is/was with a woman? Wasn't there skin in "Topaz Connection"? Wasn't there even a centerfold picture of KITT with a woman on his hood? I don't see how these pics d...

Re: Post what you all drive!

Finally I've had a chance to work on my Trans Am. As I posted earlier in this topic, I'm turning my -89 GTA to a 82 lookalike. Here's how it looks now: http://jdwc.kuvat.fi/kuvat/Home/Kes%C3%A4%202010/newlook.jpg/_smaller.jpg http://jdwc.kuvat.fi/kuvat/Home/Kes%C3%A4%202010/parkissa02.jpg/_smaller.j...

Re: My K.I.T.T

I'm also modifying my Trans Am. It's a '89 Trans Am GTA and I'm gonna make it look like an '82. I have bought a new spoiler, like the one you have, to replace the Aerowing, and it's currently being painted. I also purchased a set of taillights from an '82 Trans Am and the rear fender flares I'll ins...

If you have airbags, like you seem to have one in the steering wheel, can you replace it? In Finland it's forbidden to remove safety equipment, such as airbags, from a car.

1982 Trans Am mod for GTA:San Andreas ?

Hey, I recall sometime back I saw a screenshot of a regular Trans Am in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas -mod. It was a part of a Knight Rider mod, in the post with the screenshot read something like Trans Am that was made into KITT, or previous KITT. It was a black/gold '82 Trans Am (Gold skirts). Doe...

Re: Trailer reverse

Interesting. I always presumed they eased down the car in neutral, since it would break the transmission if the gear is on reverse and the wheels suddenly start rolling forward at 40 mph, no? I recall a car with an automatic transmission cannot be towed above a certain limit, due to the drive shaft ...

Re: Live Discussion - I Love The Knight Life

Absolutely great season ender ! And one of my favorite episodes if not THE favorite. Ok, the plot of a serum seemed a bit over-the-top, I was like "Geesh" when I read the episode description since I thought they'd screw this up, being something a B-list show would have as plot but they pul...

Great episode. The clumsy car thieves really reminded me of TOS, classic moments !

The Ford logos have been removed from the bad guy vehicle. I wonder if Ford has retracted their sponsorship. Could this possibly mean the end for transformations into pickup trucks and what not..... Lett KITT be a Mustang _all the time_. Attack Mode is ok since it somewhat resembles SPM and the car...

Sorry for the late reply but I just saw the episode. It had a great feel to it, it was almost like original series. I liked this episode. Must bring in my two cents. This is the first time I post about the new Knight Rider. I've already gotten used to the idea that KITT is a Mustang :) Like the most, I loved this episode. A good Knight Rider feel to it, like TOS (ok it might seem as I'm re-iterating things here, but well, this thread ...

Re: Noticed on EBS Photo

And did you notice when the left rear fender EBS-flap open, so does half the gas tank lid....lol And while the roof flap is open, is it like an open hatch or a thin layer of the roof (T-Tops)? Why did they have to paint the insides of those flaps red ... Why not just black. Would look cooler 8)
